The Electrical Engineering Department was started in 1961 with intake of 30. The first batch of students passed out in 1964. The present intake of Electrical branch is 70 + 7 (Lateral entry). The Electrical Engineering Department has following workshops and laboratories:

3. Utilization of Electrical Energy Lab (UEE Lab)

4. Electrical Circuit Lab

5. Electrical Measurement Lab

6. Electrical Engineering Lab

7. Generation, Switchgears and Protection Lab (GSP Lab)

8. Instrumentation & Control Lab

9. Electronics Lab
